Erumpent

"Ulol needs to have the erumpet horn by July 30 11:59 PM HOL-time" Akira finished reading the instructions. She smiled at Arielle, Zoe, Danni, and Anthony, who was asleep, still tied up on a cot in the back corner of the spacious tent. "Any ideas?" she asked.

"Well, first we've got to find an erumpet of course," said Zoe. "They're not very common, but hopefully there'll be one nearby," she continued, as she rummaged through the tent looking for the omnioculars. "Found them!" she exclaimed, and started to run outside the tent with them.

"Wait!" shouted Arielle. She grabbed the magic conch. "Should we use omnioculars to look for the erumpet?" she asked, pulling the string. "Yes," it replied. "Okay, you're good!" Arielle told Zoe, who grinned and ran outside the tent.

The remaining teammates looked at each other. "We should probably go, too" said Danni, who quickly followed Zoe out of the tent. Arielle started to go to, when Akira exclaimed, "I've got an idea!" She grabbed the air bison whistle and hurried to the tent exit excitedly. "Wait!" Arielle shouted again. "Should we use the air bison whistle?" she asked, pulling the string of the magic conch. "Yes" it replied again. "Okay, let's go!" Arielle shouted, running out of the tent with Akira.

When the two girls stepped outside the tent, they saw Zoe peering through the omnioculars and Danni pointing in different directions, trying to show where to look. "We keep seeing things, but whenever we start to get a good view, they disappear," explained Zoe. Danni sighed, "We're not really getting anywhere. But we've only been at this for a few minutes, so it's okay, I guess."

Akira grinned. "I want to try something," she told them. She held the air bison whistle to her mouth and blew. "Is it working?" asked Zoe. Arielle shrugged. "I don't think we can tell. Only an air bison can here it…" she trailed off, still not really sure what the whistle was. Suddenly, there was a big whoosh, and a giant, six-legged, furry animal landed in front of them. "The air bison!" exclaimed Akira. "Come on everyone, just climb on. And bring the omnioculars - we'll have a much better view from up here!"

"What about Anthony?" asked Zoe, as they saw him come stumbling out of the tent, looking confused.

"Oh, we might as well bring him along. Actually, why don't we pack up everything - we may need it," Akira decided. The girls quickly loaded up their belongings and climbed onto the air bison. "I've got the omnioculars ready!" said Zoe, already looking through them as the air bison took off, flying over the African savanna. After only a few minutes, Zoe cried out, "There! I see one! I see an Erumpent!"

"I see it, too!" shouted Danni, and Zoe passed her the omnioculars to get a better view. Akira directed the air bison in the direction the two girls were pointing. "Oh, I see it now," she said, and had the air bison fly in wide circles above it.

"What do we do now? We don't have to kill it, do we?" asked Arielle, feeling a little uneasy.

"I'm not sure," said Danni. "Can it live without the horn?" she asked. "Maybe we could set a trap," suggested Akira. Zoe smiled. "Yea, we can figure out the actual…horn retrieval when we get to it," she added.

"So…a trap. We've got duct tape…" Danni said.

"Perfect!" exclaimed Arielle. "We just need something to lure the erumpent in."

Everyone was quiet, thinking. Then they heard some random strange noises and turned to see Anthony. "Perfect!" they exclaimed in unison. "Although, we don't want to scare the erumpent away; his noises would definitely make it come investigate," Akira thought aloud. Anthony looked suddenly alarmed. "You guys are planning to use ME as bait for the animal?" he asked. "Oh don't worry, it won't attack unless provoked," Akira reassured him. "Isn't trapping it, well, provoking it?" he exclaimed. Zoe smiled. "Well…yes. But it will be trapped. So you'll be fine," she explained cheerily. Anthony didn't look convinced but gave in anyway.

The group landed the air bison nearby, but out of sight of the erumpent. Arielle and Danni began setting up an elaborate duct tape trap, while Zoe and Akira tried to plan out what they should do. "This could be difficult. You can't get any spells through its thick hide, and we can't let the horn burst - I'd hate to have to find another erumpent," Akira mused. "Not to mention that if the horn bursts we could explode. And die." "We could die?!" Anthony bawled. "Oh no, of course not, don't worry," Zoe said, smiling sweetly.

"The trap's ready!" Arielle shouted. Zoe pulled the umbrella out of the bag and handed it to Anthony. "Here, you can take this for protection, if it makes you feel any better," she said, as she led him over to the trap. Arielle and Danni directed him to the spot they made in the trap. "Just stand here and try to attract the erumpent," they told him.

Akira set up the levitating walkway, and the four girls stood on it to watch and wait for the erumpent. At first, nothing happened. Anthony stood up and sat down. He opened and closed the umbrella, finally leaving it open. Then he started making random, scary noises. "I really hope he doesn't scare the erumpent away," said Akira, who was occasionally muttering to herself while figuring out how they would get the horn. Soon they heard thundering footsteps approaching. "The erumpent!" they exclaimed, watching it approach Anthony and the trap curiously. For a second, they thought it would go right through the trap and pierce Anthony with its horn, but the duct tape stuck, and the erumpent couldn't move. The girls cheered and high-fived each other.

"What do we do now?" Danni asked. "Maybe if we put the erumpent to sleep, we can get the horn," suggested Zoe. She opened up the wizard tent and began searching through it. Finally, she popped out, holding a muffin. "It's got sleeping potion in it. Good thing our wizarding tent is well-stocked!" She stepped closer towards the erumpent and threw the muffin to it. "I hope this works" she muttered. The erumpent ate it hungrily. Within minutes, it began making a soft snoring noise. "I guess it's asleep," said Akira, a little surprised.

"Now we just need to get the horn," Akira said, "but how?" "I have an idea, offered Zoe, disappearing back into the tent, and coming back out with a knife. "Who wants to do it?" she asked. The girls looked around at each other, not speaking. "Why don't we go up together," suggested Danni. They agreed, and walked up to the erumpent with the knife. "I really don't like the idea of this guys..." worried Akira. "Yeah, do you think a knife will do it? And not harm the poor thing. We're already taking its natural defense mechanism; I don't want to hurt her too," agreed Arielle. Zoe was adamant, however, and insisted she would be very careful and not harm the erumpent. Making sure not to damage or jostle the horn in anyway, Zoe sliced the horn off from the head.

"Yes! We did it!" they exclaimed. The girls hugged and held the erumpent horn as a trophy in celebration. Suddenly, they noticed the sneakoscope was going off. "Enemies nearby? It must be another team!" Danni exclaimed. Sure enough, they heard some rustling not too far off, and an unmistakable voice singing "Bad Romance," along with some weird noises that sounded like licking. "Yep, that's them all right," Akira confirmed. "Quick! On the air bison!" The girls packed up their belongings and climbed aboard in a hurry, not wanting to be seen by their opponents. They rode back to the campsite with the horn, ready to deliver it to Ulol.

Back at camp, Akira asked, "Where's Anthony?" Zoe, shrugged, "I'm sure the other guys got him."

Runespoor

*before the runespoor is talking*
Akira: I see a runespoor!
Zoe: Where?
Arielle: Over there. I don't know if it can see us, though.
Danni: I don't think it's dangerous. At least, not from this far away. We should probably stay away though, just to be safe.
*all four girls walk in opposite direction and sit behind nearby tree*

Critic: They think we can't hear them. What dolts. Really? Do you two hear this? Oh that's right, you've got your heads in the clouds.
Dreamer: Oh that would be a lovely idea! I think I could get my head on the clouds, maybe with a large ladder, or a tall spiral staircase, or maybe a team of pixies could fly me up...
C: Shut up, you idiot.
Planner: Look, the girls are leaving their campsite. Let's go investigate!
C: What a stupid idea. What possible use could any of that be to us?
P: Maybe they have some items we could use. Their wizard's tent for example. We could live in that, couldn't we?
D: I've alwasy wanted to go in a wizard's tent! We could get 3 or 4 of them, maybe even 30 or 40 and attach them all together to make a mega-tent! We could live in there forever!
C: That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard, and I've heard a lot of dumb things being around you two. Trust me, there is nothing we need in this camp.
P: What about the air bison whistle? Maybe it wouldn't be much use to us, but we could use it to trade, or hold on to it in case it becomes necessary.
D: Not much use to us?? Of course it would be useful! We will call the air bison and he will come to us and fly us to the moon and back and then take us to the stars...
C: Don't you know that air bisons don't exist? Your plans are getting more and more idiotic as we go.
P: Fine then. Why don't we take the omnioculars?
C: Because no one needs omnioculars. Those are probably broken. What would we do with them anyways? Nothing of course. Use your heads, idiots.
D: Look - a camera! I've always wanted to be a photographer! I"ll have galleries all over the world! I"ll be famous and everyone will want my photographs. We must go get the camera!
C: You tried that last year, remember? You couldn't even figure out how to work the camera. Not only do you lack intelligence, but you now lack a memory too.
P: Let's take the umbrella, then. We can use it if it rains, or is hot...
D: Or if it floods! We can climb in the umbrella and float away. We'll make it to an exotic island and live there in paradise!
C: That's impossilbe. Just stop with these riciculous ideas. No one likes them!
P: Duct tape then?
C: Too sticky. No one uses that.
P: Sneakoscope?
C: What a worthless piece of junk!
D: It is no -- Look, a levitating walkway! This is straight out of my dreams! We can use this to traverse the galaxy! We could walk amongst the stars!
C: Here we go again with your stupid comments. That is not going to happen!
P: We could take that boy over there, making those strange noises.
C: Yuck! He is hideous. I don't like him. What use would he be to us, anyway?
D: He could he -- A magic conch! We can carry that around with us, and ask it questions, and I can use it to approve all of my ideas, and I'll make them all come true
C: No. When will you realize how none of your ideas work! So just stop coming up with them!
D: Why are you constantly putting down my ideas down?!
C: Maybe I wouldn't if they weren't so idiotic and childish.
D: I-I-I -- *bites the critic head out of anger*
C: Why I -- *bites back*
D: *bites Planner head by accident*
*all three heads begin to bite each other*


Zoe: *peeks around tree* What are they doing...?
Arielle: It looks like they're fighting
Akira: I wonder why...
