Second Place: El Brujos

El Brujos. (lit. translated: The Wizards.)

El Brujos is a fledgling band, based in Peru. Our name comes from the site of excavation of the famous Lady Cao; El Brujo. This means, 'the Wizard,' we altered this vaguely to, 'El Brujos,' as the plural we felt was more fitting. Lady Cao, if you didn't know, is a tattooed mummy found in 2006, dating back from 450 AD. So, if you're a young and hip band, why are you going on an excavation, you ask? Well. It's quite simple really; inspiration. We love exploring and our band was wholly created in dedication of Lady Cao, so where better to find inspiration than on an excavation? Our band is also all about reaching your dreams, and proving that there are no limits, and the fact that we, four simple wizards and witches have come together to try and reach the stars is a big showcase of this motto.

Our trademark on our signature and avatar is the slogan our band uses as a foundation: 'From the tombs of ancient, awake the dreams of young.'

I adore the creativity and the story behind the name! Love it to death! A rock band out just exploring just to prove that the world has no limit? Amazing. The signature is beautiful- at first I thought it might be too busy, but after looking at it a bit it really is just simple and beautiful! Next time just be on time, and you will be fabulous! 9/10

Very creative there, a band! And the name has a history too, very nice. I also love the graphics. Good work all around, your group sure has a unique idea. Only unfortunate thing is that you handed the task in pretty late, so I'm going to have to deduct 1 point away. 8/10

I love how you've given your name a history, and the idea of a band is very novel. Wonderful. As for your images, they are beautifully done, really, nice colours, great animation. I will, however, have to deduct a point for it being turned in late. 9/10

I absolutely love your back story and your image. The story is creative and fun, and the image is just beautiful. At first, I thought it should be more connected to history, but I was pretty pleased after reading the whole story. However, I've removed a point because you were late. 8/10

First thing I have to say is that I LOVE the signature and avatar, they really are beautiful. I can't get over how pretty they are! I also think the idea of a rock band going on an excavation is great, because you gave us the reasons why. Next time, try and be on time, and you'd get more points ^_^ 8/10

I do like how you guys picked your name. It shows a cool connection to HOL. I also like how your acronym connected to the institution, as well as raised a bit of Ravenclaw pride. I think the only complaint I really have is I don't quite understand what the butterfly and star have to do with the institution. I mean its cute, but I just don't see the correlation! 7/10

I like the official name, and the acronym is pretty clever, but I personally am not a fan of acronyms ^^ But that's personal opinion really. I do love the logo though, it's pretty. It's a bit girly I guess, but it *is* a woman's institute you're representing, so that's quite understandable. Maybe more plants could've been used instead of butterflies? 7/10

I love how you've tied your institute in with HOL, but still made it your own and your Team Name is cute, illustrative. No questions asked what you do as a Team. Whilst I love the images you made, I have to agree with other Judges on this, that they don't seem to particularly tie in with your institute, except for the anagram on the left of the siggy and on the avatar. 7/10

I like the institute that you are representing, but I wish I knew a little more about why they were participating in the dig. I also like our name and how it fits with your institution. Your image is pleasing, but it could represent you institution better. 7/10

I like how you've included a HOL professor in your institution, and I think it's a good idea, but I'm not too sure on how herbology is connected to archeology. I like the acronym you have come up with and I think the banner and avatar are pretty but I not really all that keen on them sorry. I think they look too 'blocky' and I'm not too sure on the colour scheme. So I like them and at the same, don't like them too much. Good attempt over all though! 6/10
