An essential part of pirating is to strike fear into the hearts of many by seeing your flag. A pirate's mark is flown high into the air, letting no one doubt the crew's identity. For this task, each pirate crew had to come up with their own identity by making up their own songs, flag, and signature. Doubloons were awarded for the most memorable marks of all.

The Black Pearl (Gypsy Ardor)

Shipmates of seven set sail one fine day,
with Captain Riaper guiding the way.
It was a fine-looking crew of lasses,
especially Ayah in her glasses.

First Mate Bluebird ordered a fine poem,
to be crafted upon the rocking ship.
Shadows, Dariya, Meara, and Ardor,
swabbed all the decks while crafting one for her.

"This is the Black Pearl, Yo Ho, Yo Ho.
We won't get lost at sea, Yo Ho, Yo Ho.
We'll be the best pirates, you'll soon see,
Seven shipmates on the H-O-L sea."

Second Place
The Flying Dutchman (Ireth Halliwell)

Aye!
We are the Flying Dutchman's
We go 'round the seven seas
The water is our mother
The sky is like our father
We playin' with the stars
We no afraid with the sharks
Aye!
We are the Flying Dutchman's
Our Jolly Roger's Octopus
So be very aware of us

Third Place
The Empress (Rowan Nazz)

(To the tune of The Ballad of Gilligan's Isle)

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a frightning ship
That sails around on the ocean blue
Known as our pirate ship

The mate was a mighty sailin' lass
The captain sure knew best
With five pirates who set out that day
To find a treasure chest
A buried treasure chest

Their reputation was widespread
The pirate crew was bold
If they used wits and intelligence
The Empress would find gold
The Empress would find gold

The ship's afloat on the seven seas
Setting out for gold doubloons
with Rowan Nazz,
Blake Granger too,
Jen Hathaway and Bev Grey,
Morag McQueen,
Keety Rhea and Cat Watson,
Are here on our pirate ship
